Who we are?
On November 21, 2014, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy (UMP) signed an agreement with Hanoi Medical University (HMU) and University of California at Los Angeles, USA (UCLA) to establish the Vietnam HIV Addiction Technology Transfer Center (VHATTC), based on UMP’s campus. This project is carried out under the sponsorship of The U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
SVHATTC works closely with HMU, and domestic and international experts to contribute to the development of science in addiction medicine and improve the capacity of health care professionals the field of addiction treatment. Our commitment toward a better community and society is to reduce the risk of HIV transmission and public health issues and improve the physical and emotional health of patients with HIV and/or substance use disorders (SUDs).
